Game Engine Podcast

I’m featured on the Game Engine Podcast this week! Check it out here: http://www.gameenginepodcast.com/2012/04/10/episode-37-topics-in-design/

They use my track Exciting Mission as the intro and outro music, and also give me a bit of a plug on the show, which is super awesome! The Exciting Mission track is the main “adventure” music from my friend John‘s Molyjam entry, Every Night I Dream I’m Better, which you should check out if you haven’t already!

Thanks so much to the Game Engine guys for the opportunity!

MolyJam2012 – Every Night I Dream I’m Better

Last weekend was the first ever MolyJam, a 48 hour game jam based on the tweets of Peter Molydeux.

My friend John Kane was present at the jam. Unfortunately I was filming some goofy stuff with the Multiple Nerdgasm guys, so I could’t attend directly. But John’s entry features my music! And not only that, he was picked as one of the winners at the Sydney event!

Arpy

I did that thing again where I forgot to post my track for last week on here.
This one began life as another SID thing I was playing with but then I added a bunch of other instruments anyway :P

This weeks track is up tomorrow and is cool! I promise to post it on here almost immediately.

Origin

Weekly Beats! Late again because I’m busy or possibly just lazy!

This one is a proof of concept for something bigger that I’d like to do. It’s a heavy thing with chiptune/SID elements.

You can also check it out on the Weekly Beats website here.

Soundcloud engaged!

I’ve added all my Weekly Beats tracks so far onto Soundcloud because it lets me embed them here. So I’ve now added them all into their relevant posts. Yay!

I’m also debating whether or not I’ll still do the Band Camp album thing at the end, or just make them available on here for free for anyone that wants them. I think I’d like to use this as an excuse to try some different styles (like I did with last weeks entry) so the quality and genre is going to vary pretty widely :P
I’m not sure it’s going to be something I’ll feel comfortable releasing as a set.
But we’ll see! Maybe they’ll all fit together into a whole somehow!

I do have an idea for an actual “project” though. More on that soon!

Core Functions

This weeks track is very different. I thought I’d try something I haven’t done before, so it’s a techno, dancey, electronic… thing. I don’t really know what it is to be honest. How about you just check it out and hopefully you’ll like it :P

I might do something metal next week to compensate, plus I haven’t done a heavy guitar track for Weekly Beats yet so it makes sense.
